　Could you try to use cli on the master branch please ?
If you don't want to recompile you may use binaries from Nexus repository:
http://maven.codenvycorp.com/content/repositories/public/com/codenvy/cli/cli-assembly/2.2.0-SNAPSHOT/

Could it be Codenvy project that we could share with a link?

Yes it's planned to have a Codenvy button to launch CLI with a Codenvy Factory

For my initial request, it was because I wanted to be sure that we were testing against your environment.

CLI will be available as a Codenvy sample for the next 3.2.0 version (and then it will run on codenvy hosted side)
