Feature Request:
(Currently using DartVM: Build: 3934)

Sockets are missing the ability to get the host. We can get the port that a socket is using but not the host. In particular this would be useful when dealing with Sockets passed to the connectionHandler for ServerSockets.

I envision a method signature along the lines of:
String get host() // IP address
String get hostName() // Hostname from reverse lookup.

Maybe we should make this more general and implement some kind of IPAddress class for holding IP4/IP6 addressed and have the host getter return an address. We could then provide an interface to DNS for both lookup and reverse lookup.

We could start out with a simple Address that only supports IP4 and with a toString that returns "x.y.z.æ" and lookup method for reverse DNS lookup. Whether wee should have a separate class for interacting with DNS or have these as statics/factories/constructors in the address class I don't know (yet).
