core/actors-term.dart has no import of dart:io

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Try to run \samples\actors\samples\helloworld using Dartium

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Should work fine.
Error is shown:
\samples\actors\core\actors-term.dart': Error: line 18 pos 11: type 'Timer' is not loaded
      new Timer((Timer t) {reply.respond();}, timeout);

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

I think there is no #import('dart:io') line on the top of core/actors-term.dart

There is also a bigger issue here in that this sample is misnamed. It does not implement actors.
