LeaderF-firefox
is a package that provides a Vim LeaderF interface for
Firefox bookmarks and history. It can be downloaded here.
LeaderF-firefox
is an extension, so you need LeaderF
to make it work.
The package also needs sqlite to be able to access the database containing bookmarks and history. Install it using your system’s package manager.
This variable tries to guess where the Firefox database places.sqlite
is, but
the guess is not very elaborated. It may work OK on Linux systems, but for any
other OS, it is probably better to set it manually.
The default value is ~/.mozilla/firefox/*.default*/places.sqlite
.
The value can include environment variables and it will also be glob-expanded. When this happens, the first expanded value is considered the database name.
Command | Description |
---|---|
LeaderfFirefox | List history and bookmarks |
LeaderfFirefoxBookmarks | List bookmarks |
LeaderfFirefoxHistory | List history |
There are no default mappings for any of the commands.
The extension allows multiple selections using s
to toggle any line and c
to clear all the selections.
When in the ===LeaderF= buffer, use <F1>
for help. These are the bindings
for immediate actions:
Key | Description |
---|---|
<CR>/double-click/o | Open URL in default browser |
i/<TAB> | Switch to input mode |
s | Toggle selection |
c | Clear selections |
t | Open selection(s) in browser tab |
w | Open selection(s) in a new browser window |
y | Yank selection(s) url(s) |

There are three highlighting groups you can use to customize the look of the
list: Lf_hl_firefoxDate
, Lf_hl_firefoxTitle
and Lf_hl_firefoxUrl
. You
can assign colors to them customizing your colorscheme, or through the usual
LeaderF
palette variables.
Install using Plug.
Plug 'Yggdroot/LeaderF', { 'do': './install.sh' }
Plug 'dawsers/LeaderF-firefox'
