Upload speed

This page is to show the upload capacity of NewsUP.

Usually NewsUP can use all the upload speed available. The upload speed depends on several parts:

  1. The OS.

    a. Configuration (number of files open, firewall rules, network routes, TCP tuning, ....)

    b. load (disk, cpu, internet)

    c. The number of NICs you have

  2. Hardware (CPU, disk, RAM, NIC) and also if it's a dedicated hosting server, or not.

  3. The load of the server to where you're uploading.

  4. The actual and real speed your line have. The speed usually isn't guaranteed or dedicated by the internet provider. The network routes, the distance and the latency from your USP also affects the speed you can achieve

Tips

For some tips on how to improve the upload speed, please check how to improve speed wiki page
