I suggest changing the way how navbar and sidebar are implemented currently to closer match those of https://vuejs.org/v2/guide/.

on smaller screens the navbar is merged with the sidebar
no hamburger menu which is easily overlooked on large screens and difficult to interact with on small ones
on-hover dropdown menus should expand upon selection, not only hover to work on touchscreens.
