In the GH workflow I see publishing snapshot versions is fully automated.

This happens though 🔥

Could not PUT 'https://oss.sonatype.org/content/repositories/snapshots/org/ec4j/editorconfig/org.ec4j.editorconfig.gradle.plugin/0.0.4-SNAPSHOT/maven-metadata.xml'. Received status code 403 from server: Forbidden

I guess the Sonatype tokens configured in the repository secrets SONATYPE_USERNAME, SONATYPE_PASSWORD might have expired.

Maybe you'll find sth in ec4j's Sonatype/Gradle Portal account.
