eXtrema 4.7.0 (Linux, Windows)

A major jump in functionality, this release compiles under Linux and Windows from the same code base, justifying a jump in the minor version number.The minor subversion number will advance for bug-fix releases.

Highlights of development since the previous release include:

• rationalization of screen fonts handling (4.7.0);
• commit to using wxWidgets 3.1.5+ on all platforms, remove temporary accommodations for high-dpi screens used on 3.0.4 (4.6.2);
• change path handling for service files, everything is now relative to the path to the executable (4.6.2);
• generate a self-contained executable AppImage (Linux, tested RHEL7 to Ubuntu 20.04) and a zip of binary (Windows, tested from XP to 10) (4.6.2);
• a pretty new logo (4.6.1);
• all button images converted to .gif, transparent background; buttons organized into wxPanel's (4.6.1).

eXtrema v4.6.0 (Linux only)

This is the first release under GTK3/wxWidgets 3.0.x. Tested to compile and run under Ubuntu 20.04 LTS and ChromeOS Linux (Debian) v.90.
