Base Station Piksi Multi Firmware v1.5.12
You can either load the settings available in utils/piksi_multi_config/base_station_firmware_1-5-12.ini (preferred way) or set them manually by yourself as explained here below. In any case the following configuration assumes you are using UART 1 to plug Piksi to the on-board PC and an Xbee is attached to UART 0 of Piksi Multi.
ETHZ RSL Staff: if you use our custom PCB please use utils/piksi_multi_config/rsl_base_station_firmware_1-5-12.ini
instead (UART0 plugged to PC, UART1 plugged to XBEE).
In the first case, open Piksi console, navigate to "Setting" tab, press "Import from File" and load the desired file. After that remember to close the console, open it again (selecting 230400 as baud rate), navigate to the tab "Settings" and press "Save to Device"! You can skip the following part.
In the second case open Piksi console, navigate to "Setting" tab and set change the following parameters. Each parameter "XXX.YYY" is located in the "Settings" tab of Swiftnav console, in section "XXX" and is called "YYY".
The following tables shows only the parameters that are different form the default ones, i.e. the ones you need to change!
Parameter (Section Name) | Value | Description |
---|---|---|
surveyed_position.broadcast |
True | Broadcast surveyed 'base station' position. |
uart0.baudrate |
115200 | baudrate Xbee. |
uart1.baudrate |
230400 | baudrate connection with on-board PC. |
Once you change uart1.baudrate
then you will have to close and open the console again and used the new badrate: 230400. At this point you should go again to the 'Settings' tab and save to flash, to make sure the new baud rate is correctly set. DO NOT RESET your Piksi Multi before you press "Save to Flash".
