Can we release a 4.0.1 first and put the remaining issues in 4.0.2？

Motivation:

My project was upgraded to react-script 4 + react 17 + typescripts 4.1,

But it is currently blocked by #9868, I noticed that this issues has been fixed.

I want to upgrade to production environment。

Absolutely agree - #9886 / #9911 is a complete blocker for my team (and I imagine most teams) - not feasible to use v4 with that issue.

4.0.0 is a breaking version for anyone who is working on TypeScript and trying to use React v17. Can we please have a 4.0.1 release soon that fixes at least the basic setup if not all the related bugs in #9868?

What are people's experiences of #9886?

I am finding that the start-up time is very slow still on 4.0.1 (about 3x slower), but once started it seems OK. The page would reload slightly quicker on CRA v3, but then my client would have more work to do reloading all the components, fetching all data from the server, so I think that the net CRA v4 experience once the server is started is about on par or fractionally quicker given the whole page isn't reloaded.

I have the same issue with my react proyect. Its strange, because yesterday the live reload was going so good, but today is so slow. To see the changes in my proyect (localhost) i wait about 10 sec. ¿How can i fix this problem?
