No feedback after setting volume

When I say "OK Google, set volume to 80 percent" it does so, but does not give any feedback/indication that the volume was set. I am able to check the volume by asking "OK Google, what is your volume?".

This is not related to the SDK as much as a feature request for the Assistant in general. For most devices this is handled by a visual indicator. On a Google Home for example this query will present LEDs showing the current volume.

OK. This is reasonable. But, does it provide any response back from the SDK, when the volume is set, which can be used to hookup some sort of feedback mechanism.
