The problem

I recently bought a Levoit 300S Plasma Pro model, this model doesn't show up in the VeSync integration on HA.

I previously had the class 300S model and it works, after buying the device and adding it through the app, I also tried reintegrating on home assistant, but still only the classic model shows up.

Hi. I too am having the same issue with the Levoit PlasmaPro 300S HEPA filter not showing up in the VeSync integration. This model is almost identical to the Core 300S that is currently supported. It has one additional feature, being able to generate ions and that feature can be turned on or off. I am happy to help provide any additional information with guidance from the code owners. Thanks and I'm looking forward to getting this working.

Looks like the pyvesync dependency needs to be bumped to at least 2.1.6 (from 2.1.1) to support the plasmapro 300s

2 Changes got it working for me:

  • Bump pyvesync to 2.1.6 in the manifest file
  • Add "LAP-C302S-WUSB": "Core300S", # Alt ID Model Core300S to the const.py

These changes can be made inside the conainer in the folder /usr/src/homeassistant/homeassistant/components/vesync

And restart HA

There's a mess of PRs around this integration, going back nearly 2 years.
I was going to see about getting these minor changes submitted, but its too much hassle.

Using this custom integration now: https://github.com/vlebourl/custom_vesync

Thanks for the info @CDeLeon94 ! So you're having better luck with the custom integration than the mod you suggested last week?

@CDeLeon94

The mod doesn't survive HA updates, so that had me wanting to get it patched in officially.
But the custom integration won't have that problem, and it seems to have a little better support for various features of the filter and other devices as well.
