AinsleyBot is a GUI based todo manager built with Java. Write once, run anywhere!
Prerequisites: JDK 11, update Intellij to the most recent version.
- Open Intellij (if you are not in the welcome screen, click
File
>Close Project
to close the existing project first) - Open the project into Intellij as follows:
- Click
Open
. - Select the project directory, and click
OK
. - If there are any further prompts, accept the defaults.
- Click
- Configure the project to use JDK 11 (not other versions) as explained in here. In the same dialog, set the Project language level field to the
SDK default
option. - After that, locate the
src/main/java/Launcher.java
file, right-click it, and chooseRun Launcher.main()
(if the code editor is showing compile errors, try restarting the IDE). If the setup is correct, you should see a window like this:

This project uses images depicting celebrity chef Ainsley Harriott. This project is in no way related nor endorsed by him, and depiction of Mr. Harriott is only for comedic effect. Do reach out and inform me via appropriate channels (GitHub issues or email) if these depictions are in breach of any existing laws, and I will remove the images. Until then, it stays up.
