Learning from past experiences, just changing the name of a file is going to break somebody's code, so let's not go there, even if it makes more sense.
The updated docco puts these annotated sources in a different place. Rather than forcing them back in the old place, it seems easiest to just go with the flow.

I'm making this PR for transparency, and to facilitate review for any volunteer. However, a review is not necessary. I will proceed to merge and publish this release without actually waiting for a review. Post-merge and post-publication reviews are still possible and welcome.
I thought I'd casually make a new release with the latest changes to let everyone know that Backbone is being worked on. Due to the updated development dependencies (#4252, #4246) and due to the general passage of time, this turned out to be a bit more work than I anticipated. Among other things, I had to deal with the fact that some of the updated tools generate files in different places nowadays. The commit log tells the full story.
