Shooting Advices
Light : I find the best photo are done during the dusk just when you barely see anything but the detail of the scene will still appear on the result. Unfortunately it only last a few minutes... Artificial light tend to give a yellow light not so pretty.
The scene : I also find that putting object/people before the animation is nice. It give a reality of the picture. Animation on full dark seems artificial. If you you want to make something/somebody to appear, do the animation behind him and after light it/him with a flash light.
Organization : I like to put landmark to know when get in/out of the photo frame. One in the middle is also useful to center the animation. ImagePainting give you the duration of the animation, it's very useful to know what going to happen. I also like to walk a little before launching the animation to have a steady speed.
Good luck.
