How to use autoCV: Detailed Instructions

Step 1: Fork the Repo

Step 2: Fill in the details and create a repository from the template

Step 3: Give the workflow write permissions for your repo. Settings -> Actions -> General

Step 4: Edit your cv.tex file

You will see the initial commit in your copy of the repository:

Now, click on cv.tex and update the cv with your particulars

Step 5: Commit your changes to cv.tex

Optionally, you can modify the index.html in a similar manner to add a Title and Description for the CV which may be useful in the link preview or for SEO.

These details are used when previews are generated like this:

Step 6: Set GitHub pages source to build branch under Settings -> Pages

Step 7: Your site should now be published

Step 8: Share your CV

Your CV will be available at https://username.github.io/repo_name/cv.pdf
