πŸ§” Hey there, I'm Josh Stanton! πŸˆβ€β¬›

About Me :octocat:

Hey there! 😺 My name is Josh and I am a 30-year-old software engineer from Atlantic Canada πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦. I consider myself a bit of a jack-of-all-trades as a veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces and a holder of three distinctly unique degrees. I have developed a fascination with the potential applications of machine learning models to healthcare and cancer research. However, as a relatively new entrant to the field of computer science, I am exploring all facets that I can. Most frequently, I find myself working with Python and am in the process of learning backend development with the Django Framework. Accessibility is something that I greatly value and believe that technology should be approachable and usable by everyone.

Outside of the software world, I am an avid cook, multi-instrumentalist, and catdad to a part-time chaos gremlin, full-time tuxedo cat named Cinder who I lovingly named after Dark Souls.

A close-up photo of Cinder sitting in the window sill at golden hour. He is a black and white tuxedo cat with big green eyes and a little white moustache. In this photo, the shades of brown in his fur are brought out by the sunlight. A close-up photo of Cinder laying on the floor with his paws forward and his head resting on them. He is a black and white tuxedo cat with big green eyes and a little white moustache.
