A Gypsum client implementation for Common Lisp

cl-gypsum-client is a Common Lisp implementation of a client for the Gypsum protocol.

This was originally designed for the Navi project.

Note: Gypsum and this Gypsum client are in constant flux. This code is pre-alpha quality, and has not seen much testing. I can prove that it works for me, but it may not work for your usage goals.

Building

Use your typical ASDF system definition package, be it the old, deprecated ASDF, or quicklisp.

Running

This library does not currently support establishment of the RFCOMM connection to the Gypsum display server, and instead relies upon BlueZ’s /dev/rfcomm devices to function. Unfortunately, this means you have to set this up outside of the lisp environment before the client will function at all.

At some point in the future, this will be refactored to be a bit more direct.

This client does, however, support connections via TCP sockets through the connect function. See that function’s (documentation) for more information.
