In my PyCharm profile I had a performance increase of about 460%, from 128 seconds down to only 28. See the issue for details

This pull request will reliably speed up notebooks with many lines. It will be especially good for

notebooks such as diaries or daily notes with many words
drawings, where a single page can have tens of thousands of lines
