did you do an upgrade from 0.12 to 0.13?
Trying to figure out how to repro it as it could be an installer issue.

This time I uninstalled PowerToys 14. Deleted %appdata%/../local/Microsoft/PowerToys. Deleted all the registry entries, rebooted and the wrong icon was shown immediately. |
the shift to MSIX / Store (#413) should make this a non-point. I don't think anyone on the dev team has been able to reproduce this as well. |
Closing this as |
Even if we brought the MSI back, this is still an external issue: it's a Windows bug that can randomly hit any application and there is nothing we can do in PowerToys to mitigate the issue. |
v 0.13
Version 10.0.18363 Build 18363
Did not occur immediately after installing 0.13. Some time after. Noticed it first today.
So ugly. Burn it with fire, please.
Notification area icon seems unaffected.
