We’re using Discussions as a place for Student Ambassadors to ask questions related to the Technical Onboarding process. All Student Ambassadors must complete Technical Onboarding within 12 months of program onboarding. Technical Onboarding is also a requirement to advance to the Beta milestone. 1. Is it an Azure Student account you are using?
2. It looks like in the Azure extension, under the "Resources" list you see "Select Subscription...", is that correct? If so, does that change if you stop and restart the Codespace?

Hey @WasathTheekshana, it's awesome that you already have a portfolio website, but this section of Technical Onboarding also is important because it introduces you to tools like GitHub Codespaces and GitHub Copilot, so please follow the full Technical Onboarding instructions (and you're welcome to replace the code in the template with your own from there)

Hey @angelotheman, no if you have already completed Technical Onboarding you do not have to complete it again. The end result of the entire portfolio section is the same anyway, you still end up with a portfolio site deployed by Azure Static Web Apps. You are obviously more than welcome to redo it now if you'd like, it's a great introduction to GitHub Codespaces and Copilot!

Hey @Laraibf73 - sorry you're running into errors. Some questions:

1. Are you using an Azure for Students account?
2. Have you tried following the tips at the end of this section: "Issues? When creating your Static Web app, if you are prompted to select an Azure subscription and are not able to select a subscription, check the "Accounts" tab in VS Code. Make sure to choose the "Grant access to ..." options if those options appear"
3. If neither of the above work, can you try stopping your Codespace and starting a new one?

Hi, It looks you are trying to leverage the Azure for Students offer with your @studentambassadors email. The Azure for Students offer can only be leveraged with a university email. Read more about Azure for Students.

I see that you are a Alpha Student Ambassadors and your Visual Studio subscription with $150 USD monthly Azure credits is enabled. Read how to access this program benefit.

Hey I have been trying to complete my technical onboarding using the instructions mentioned in github thread. I followed all the steps mentioned in the thread to deploy portfolio using azure static web apps. I am facing this error which says Repository Token is invalid. can you help me with this?

this was his response:

-> search azure static web apps
-> create new
-> enter basic details like name, select region closest to you
-> choose free plan
-> connect your github account
-> rest steps are similar, choose repo, choose root folder i.e. "/", use dist etc.

that's it.
Once done go to your repo and you'll see all it is working in GitHub actions!

I downloaded all the extensions and I am trying to deploy my website using the Azure static web app. But I get the notification that
" RepositoryToken is invalid. Provided token has invalid permissions and cannot be used to set up Github Action CI/CD. Admin rights are required for the repository"

@ManshiPrasad, please go through #20 (comment). It has got the solution to the invalid token issue. many folks have been facing a similar issue and you wouldn't want to skip that.

Hey @Mohdcode, if you follow through the Instructions.md file all the way till the end, that will mark the completion of the technical onboarding, then you can submit your completion through this form.

Be sure to have completed the Completed all the steps necessary and reach out when you get stuck.

Hey @Mishkamarzook when you deploy your web app to azure, you will get a sharable link like one in the attached screenshot, step 2 , you can select the URL link to open the website in new tab.

hey @ruchipandey17 to utilize the Ambassador Azure monthly credits, you must have advanced to alpha. Since you cannot verify your student status, I would recommend you sign you # for the 200$ credit here

Hi @NanciRamirez,
Your University ID may be missing from the list of available domains. Our technical team is actively working to ensure that most of these institutions are included in the list of available domains.

In the interim, if you have already advanced to the Alpha Milestone, please make sure to take advantage of the Azure Monthly credits provided to you, which can be accessed here. On the other hand, if you haven't yet reached this milestone, you can # for the $200 credit using your credit card. Rest assured that you won't be charged during the trial period.

Hello @hzjadoon the deployment failure indicates that you didn't setup the build process right. The instructions have been updated. I would highly recommend you delete the .github/workflows folder from your repository and repeat the deployment process with the following in mind
