This PR encodes unboxed literals (expressions/patterns) as Jane Syntax. There aren't really any surprises. The PR leaves off in the middle of typing and so will raise a type-checking error rather than letting these literals go through to the middle-end. This will change shortly with a PR from @ccasin.
