JSON-RPC OkHttp Logging Interceptor

An OkHttp interceptor which logs JSON-RPC request and response data.

You can format it with your favorite json formatter.

For example using JSON in Java (org.json) is like this code.

JsonRpcLoggingInterceptor logging = new JsonRpcLoggingInterceptor(new JsonRpcLoggingInterceptor.JsonFormatter() {
    @Override
    public String format(String s) {
        try {
            return new JSONArray(s).toString(2);
        } catch (JSONException e) {
            return "";
        }
    }
});
logging.setLevel(JsonRpcLoggingInterceptor.Level.REQUEST_BODY);
OkHttpClient client = new OkHttpClient.Builder()
        .addInterceptor(logging)
        .build();

You can change the log level at any time by calling setLevel.

To log to a custom location, pass a Logger instance to the constructor.

JsonRpcLoggingInterceptor logging = new JsonRpcLoggingInterceptor(new JsonRpcLoggingInterceptor.Logger() {
    @Override
    public void log(String message) {
        Timber.tag("JsonRpcLoggingInterceptor").d(message);
    }
}, new JsonRpcLoggingInterceptor.JsonFormatter() {
    @Override
    public String format(String s) {
        try {
            return new JSONArray(s).toString(2);
        } catch (JSONException e) {
            return "";
        }
    }
});
