Describe the bug
Please say what is broken. Include whether you think this is a problem with the code or the documentation / tutorials.
usv_joy_teleop.py
not working.

Expected behavior
What you expected to happen.
Should be able to control boat with joystick.

To Reproduce
List the steps to reproduce the problem:
0. Prepare your system with docker.(follow all tutorial)

  1. Follow tutorial, https://github.com/osrf/vrx/wiki/teleop_tutorial
    ros2 launch vrx_gz usv_joy_teleop.py

  2. Connect joystick, see if it works.

System Configuration:
Tell us about your system.

  • OS: Local:Ububtu 20.04, Docker:22.04
  • ROS Version: ROS2 with provided docker
  • Gazebo Version: Gazebo Garden with provided docker
  • Graphics Card: Nvidia 3080 laptop
  • Are you using VRX or VRX Classic? VRX

Additional notes
Add any other context about the problem here.

  • jstest tested on docker container terminal, could get response from joystick.
  • checked if dev/input/js0 could be identified. Yes it could be identified.
  • checked if joy_node exists. It exists.
  • checked if nodes are connected well. Yes it is connected.
  • checked if joy topic is published. No, it is not published
