- What did I accomplish since the last Scrum?
- What will I do until the next Scrum?
- What obstacles are impeding my progress?
- I have begun research for adding a search bar
- I won't have time to work on it by next scrum
- I have other classes that take priority; I have assigned myself time for the following scrum
- I began toying with the map view in a seperate project to get a feel for the functions. I managed to create a simple hello Map map view seperately.
- I will be away for the week so I won't be able to work on the app for the week.
- Problems with Android studio finding my sdk and needing updates has been impeding my progress significantly. When i go in to work it takes me nearly 45 minutes simply to begin writing.
- I created the championship and player data object. I also set up the forum for the create championship page, and set up the activity for create a championship, this activity pushes the data from the forum to a firebase database.
- I will migrate my progress to Vinicius new app, and will set up the view championship page, generating a page of all the championship names and have those names click-able.
- My laptop is the worst and cant run android emulator, so I had to enable developer options on android. I have not had any other problems in this sprint, besides some issues with relative layout.
- I could create a whole new app but with tabs structured. Also, I added icons on each tab in a way that you can swipe between Home, Championships, Groups and Tutorial (to build kites) pages. Also, the tasks of Creating championship page and the radio buttons for selecting championship were al implemented by me (it took around 12h to do all of this, as I don't really know deeply Android).
- I will try to Make the Action Bars change title according to tab just to have only the icon in each tab. Also, I intend to do the design for homepage.
- The little knowledge of Android and also the dependency on other's tasks. Also, I have some impediments due to Tests I have on Monday (today) and Tuesday.
- I have done further research on search
- I have not implemented or worked on anything since last scrum because of other classes/ class work
- Other projects/due dates/ tests are in my way. I've set myself time this weekend to work on this and implement my parts.
- I have not worked on the application since the last scrum since I was on a trip to california for an event and a potential job interview. 2.For the next scrum im hoping to keep adding functions to the seperate map view so that i can pair it with the application. 3.One of my user stories is to edit/delete championship but lack of communication and understanding of the database won't allow me to progress on this end. It seems more has to be implemented to the Firebase code before this can get done.
- I was able to implement the database to our old version of the project, I also changed the Add championship page on the new version of the project.
- I am currently implementing the database to the new project, I just have to redo the listeners and then rewrite the sendmessage() method, After this is complete over the weekend I will create a page to fill with the names of each championship where the names link to a second page that gets filled with the information from the database pertaining to that specific championship.
- I am having issues with the version control of Android Studio, the gradle keeps breaking on itself and is having issues with recgonizing symbols, in both the import section and in the method boddies using these imports.
- Intensive studying on solving Android Studio bugs and on creating a rounded Image View (no success).
- Work on the profile page in order to have the skeleton of it.
- Monday and Tuesday tests, Android Studio bugs (taking me a lot of time), and also the little knowledge of Android Development.
- I had to update myself on what had been added to the app and I started some research
- I will complete the list view for the data
- My own slacking is taking an effect; I need to push myself more to develop the work ethic I desire
- After being away for a while I was playing catch up with my team seeing where i could insert myself in the development process. 2.Before the next scrum i will implement the map into the championship view and also implement the basic functionalities that have been appended to it. I also have begun starting to understand the firebase code that we have on the application such that i can begin working with it.
- I've found that pulling and pushing back into firebase is a task that is not considered a beginner task which i will consider myself with the database. This will make editing championship a difficult task, also since we have been discussing that we won't implement user profiles there won't be a championship "admin" to edit championships.
- Did a lot of work and spent a lot of time trying to solve bugs with my android studio and projects on android studio. I also implemented the database functionality and championship information is pushed to the firebase with the use of serializing data objects.
- I am working on deserializing the information from a specific championship from the firebase and displaying the information on an appropriate championship type page.
- I was having issues with my android studio project with libraries and indexing. All important imports were giving unrecongizable symbol errors and no fix would work. A new project was commited and this seems to fix my issues
- Implemented the profile page as mentioned in the last scrum.
- Finish the profile page with the numbers of trophies for each user and other information and design that makes it a very nice one. Also, begin working on the page of the tutorial of how to build kites in differents ways.
- Other subjects, some bugs, and mainly the little knowledge of Android development.
- Worked on reading data from Firebase
- I will finish the List View that displays the title/location of events from Database
- What impeded me was I had to learn what Ryan had done already before I could work, so I spent long hours understanding what he'd done and what the goal was
- Spent a lot of time trying to copy the map code into the main project. Since the application consists of mainly fragments i have found that inputting a fragment within a fragment is not too simple.
- Do more research to try to overcome all of the errors that are coming up along the way of working on the main project.
- The map code was having a lot of problems with the firebase compiles. This error was detrimental to my progress for this sprint since i was unable to upload my work from the sprint since it broke the program. I'll have to find out what the problem is or seek the help of a tutor.
