Yusan (meaning Umbrella in Chinese) is a storytelling / exploration game for iOS, which incorporates aspects of Chinese history and culture into its narrative. It is a 2D platformer which follows the events that transpired in 2014-2015 in Hong Kong; when mass protests were being held against the Chinese government.
During this time, known as the Umbrella Movement, many young people within China engaged in fierce political activism, and yet people outside of China still carry misconceptions about the state of Chinese politics. This game attempts to educate the player according to our telling of the Movement, while keeping the experience fun and compelling.
