Fixed

  • Fixed broken caches on Windows due to Path starting with a slash (#4549)
  • Fixed JSONDecodeError when installing packages by updating cachecontrol version (#4831)
  • Fixed dropped markers in dependency walk (#4686)

If you're cutting a release, any chance of getting #4686 in? It's a small change fixing a longstanding bug.

I know I'm not the only one interested in this: there are several duplicates linked from it and from #3511; and indeed I see now that the last comment on #4686 is someone asking for a release that includes it.
