1. The scripts "Schutzsuchende_Analyse_final_reviewed.ipynb" allows you to reproduce the analysis that we used to explain why Syrian refugees leave more rural areas of Brandenburg and move into the cities.

2. The scripts were used for the article: Syrische Flüchtlinge zieht es in Brandenburg vom Land in die Städte, published on 12.08.2020. The article tries to illustrate with expert interviews and choropleths possible why Syrian refugees leave the more rural regions of Brandenburg.

3. The used datasets can all be found in the folder "CleanedData" or if they exceed the Github limit for data storage here. The datasets come from the German National Office for Statistics, the German Labour ministry and the working group »Regional Accounts« VGRdL, which is a collaboration of regional offices of statistics.

4. We exclude liability for any damages or losses that may arise from using the materials made available. We do not guarantee that the information therein is adequate, complete or up to date.
