Improve docblocks and type hinting. Typo fixes.
Removed mdbook-variables. After fiddling with it a few weeks ago (#352) to avoid failures, it was broken again (https://github.com/rustprooflabs/pgosm-flex/actions/runs/5907680184). It wasn't worth the hassle to have a tiny number of versions injected to the docs, those can by fixed manually when they matter 🤷
