Setup: 2. Create Developer User and assign Roles and Privileges

This Setup guid is part of a series that explains, how to setup sap mentors/sitreg on HCP.

For the development we need an User with the needed roles / authorizations.

First you have to start the SAP HANA Cockpit from the Administration Tools. This first call gives your "system" User the needed roles / authorization

The User is "system", the password is the password that you provided during the database creation Login

After the first call you can close the SAP HANA Cockpit, it is not needed for the moment. Next open the SAP HANA Web-based Development Workbench from the Development Tools of the Database dbsitreg. To create the Developer User go into the Security section.

Create a new User by right click on the User Node

The new User needs Developer Roles. I assigned all Roles with "Developer" in it. (Feel free to correct this part)

According to the Package Privilege Options we need more privileges to create packages. Go to Package Privileges, assign the Root Package and mark all Privilegs.
