Skeleton Labs

First and foremost, you may have noticed fewer major new features introduced to Skeleton since the v1.0 release. This is intentional and expected, as I am currently devoting upwards to about half my working hours each week to new Skeleton Labs initiatives. In case you're not aware, these projects help fund the project and myself, which allows me to operate as the only full time contributor to Skeleton. Without this, progress could slow dramatically, so please know that your patience is appreciated. I do anticipate this to be temporary delay while the dust settles.

Here's where we stand with our overall roadmap, which has been ongoing since August 2022:

• Establish the company and bank accounts to handle all business funds
• Sponsorship - helps cover infrastructure costs (hosting, domains, software costs, etc)
• Premium Support/Services - attracts and supports large enterprise companies that can contribute to Skeleton in major ways
• Feature contributions - providing new features to the FOSS project - ex: gradient variant styles and Chat/AI prompt UI
• Introduce our first premium templates(s) for purchase in a small trial. Likely 1-3 templates in a third party store.
• Premium Assets Store - will provide high quality themes, templates, and more for you to use

Skeleton v2

• Promoting Skeleton - we have a number of ongoing efforts to help promote and grow the project
• GDPR compliance:
• Remove google fonts from themes #1161

• Create a new Ambassador role on Discord for critical members, such as content creators
• Housekeeping:
  • Migrate the project to a monorepo structure
  • Improve our CI/CD process to help improve automation and deployment

  • Utilize new NPM @dev tags, so users can test bleeding edge versions more easily
  • Splitting to a separate repo (per the housekeeping proposal)
