Original Issue:

The original code only used Command+C and clipboard, which didn't properly handle fresh selections
It would often insert old clipboard content instead of the current selection

Solution Implemented, added a two-step approach to get selected text:

First tries to get text directly via AppleScript from the frontmost application
Falls back to Command+C method only if direct selection fails
