remove Continuous from View/Grid

This PR removes Continuous from menubar/View/Grid, but keeps menubar/View/Continuous. The duplicate was introduced in #3942.

BTW, small screenshots of what means e.g. 1×2 versus 2×1 may be useful.

And, BTW, why not the Unicode Multiplication Sign × instead of the poorman's Latin Small Letter X x?

Mmmmhh, too bad! But IMO, small screenshots would be the most direct and helpful way to figure out what e.g. 1×2 means.
