Things to Consider

• What new methodological advancements have been made since the Mississippi paper was published? What new methods can we incorporate in our research? Do new methods add any value to this project?
• Note the assumptions made by the researchers

Recreating the Mississippi Paper

1. Data Sources: GRACE (estimates of water storage?), GLDAS (Maybe better model available), WELL NETWORKS (USGS/CRN), Estimates of Terrestrial Water Storage
2. Process the data to determine these variables: Terrestrial Water Storage, Soil Moisture, Snow Water Equivalent Describe our assumptions
3. Clustering: Pick a way to group the data
4. Distribution of the data: Plot the mean/statistical analyses
5. Analyses: Time series distribution; Comparison b/w GRACE and Wells Networks

Things To Present:

• Talk about the problem set
• Description of the datasets; limitations & assumptions

6/21 Milestone Meeting

• Try ArcMap to read and process data
• Building a function file above the Snippet folder after next Tuesday
• Outline project after Tuesday
• Produce something to present by Friday
• First stakeholder meeting with the Nature Conservancy, will talk to Aaron Citron, an environmental lawyer specializing in water rights and subject expertise in CRB. Meeting on 6/30 9-10 am. Have meeting notes ready by 6/29.
