Could you help me finish the intallation?

Hi, I am just a new user.

I am using Fedora 35 and installed visit 3.2.2 with the visit-install file.
The installation was finished without any error.
However, when I try to run it, it does not work. Even it does not show me what the error is.

Could anyone help me?

Try running with -debug 5. See what the logs say

I really appreciate you trying to help me. However, unfortunately, I am a beginner of Fedora (or Linux.) Could you explain to me how to run -debug 5? (or where it is?)

Navigate to the build directory (where you ran bin/visit) from and try bin/visit -debug 5. This should produce log files once VisIt is closed or crashes. You should see the following in your build folder:

bash-4.2$ ls *.vlog
A.gui.1.vlog  A.gui.4.vlog	 A.mdserver.2.vlog  A.mdserver.5.vlog  A.viewer.3.vlog
A.gui.2.vlog  A.gui.5.vlog	 A.mdserver.3.vlog  A.viewer.1.vlog    A.viewer.4.vlog
A.gui.3.vlog  A.mdserver.1.vlog  A.mdserver.4.vlog  A.viewer.2.vlog    A.viewer.5.vlog

The 5.vlog files will have the most information in them. If you open them in your favorite text editor, you should search for error messages and let us know what you find.
