Steps to reproduce

create an md-tab component with the md-transparent class

Which browser?

any

What is expected?

tab should be transparent

What is actually happening?

whole tab has theme's background color

to be clear, that class does work on the md-tabs component, but it only applies the styling to the tab navigation strip. I'm talking about the md-tabs-content area.
