This changes git to ignore line endings and prettier to set them. This should result in autogenerated files not being updated, while generated files get updated properly.
Strangely, this started working again. I may need to alter it again in the future, but i think this is the safest way to handle it for now.

For some reason, the original version of this started working again. I'm merging it to undo a small part of a recent change.
