Beta 16

  • Fixed self-updater, hopefully.
  • Revamped **toolbar **and displayed current profile under Profiles.
  • VRAM estimation now reads your GraphicsLib settings, if any. Previously assumed you had maxed GraphicsLib settings, even if it wasn't enabled.
  • Fixed a mod getting copied to its own mod folder when you tried to install the same version again and canceled the confirmation dialog.
  • Fixed possible crash when hoving over mod profiles.
  • Fixed possible crash if a tip.json had a null tips array.
  • Added setting to choose your SMOL renderer.
  • Maybe added a deadlock. Not sure. Might've fixed it. Let me know if it softlocks.
  • Many various little text improvements, e.g. making the "not yet scanned" text more obvious but subtle.

Beta 15

To update, launch SMOL and follow the update prompt.
In case of "Access is denied" error (Windows Defender false positive), see "Auto-Update broken?" video above.

New: Tip Deleter

  • See which mods tips came from...
  • And remove them!
  • Deleted tips are remembered even when you update a mod :overlord:

Notes: Tips are removed from all versions of a mod that you have. Removing a tip rewrites the tip file after creating a backup (so any comments from the author are removed). There is no "undo", but since it creates a backup in the tips folder, you can just swap back.

Also

  • There is now experimental Linux and MacOS support, but you have to build it yourself, sorry  Thank you to @DesperatePeter for adding the Linux support!
  • Fixed download notifications (I hope, they work for me anyway) and added notifs for download errors.
  • Disabled mods are no longer enabled when you use the one-click updater.
  • Mod profiles are now sorted by last updated.

Beta 14

Relaunch to be prompted to update.

  • Added option to Settings to disable the warning for One-Click Mod Updates ™️
  • One-Click Mod Updates ™️ now switch to the newly installed mod (finally).

Beta 13

  • May now sort by Has Update (click the Version header). Thank you to whoever suggested this very obvious feature that SMOL somehow didn't have but I spent like 30 mins making Launch button tooltips at some point.

  • When you switch to a mod profile that needs e.g. MagicLib 1.1 and you don't have 1.1 but you do have 1.2, it will ask if you want to use the newer version instead of just not. Thank you @stormbringer951 for the idea and prompting.

  • Replaced old bad Trans theme with 2 new less-bad ones (I will keep using Tidal tyvm, dark backgrounds ftw).

-** "Liked" mods** now have a subtle background (so subtle you can't see it on some themes) because I kept forgetting they were Liked and wondering where MagicLib had gotten to.
