"The Open Microscopy Environment (OME) community is developing a format, OME-Zarr, using Zarr to store large, n-dimensional biological images as part of the Next-generation file format (NGFF) effort." OME logo used by permission, trademarked Glencoe Software, Inc. |
I would add NASA (@briannapagan) and ESA (@christophenoel). I also have a long list of companies using Zarr internally. Not sure whether we want to try to reach out and get permission to list them / use their logos. |
Hi all. Thanks for sending out your logos. I'll be putting them up on https://zarr.dev/ soon. @rabernat, if you could provide the list of companies here or via email, I can try reaching out to them and see if they're interested. @haileyajohnson, can you please add a small blurb for Unidata? @normanrz, how about both? As for the blurb, 1-2 lines around what scalableminds is and 1-2 lines around how they use Zarr would be sufficient. |
PangeoBlurb: Zarr is used extensively within the Pangeo Project as a cloud native storage format for ocean, weather, climate, and geospatial data. I updated my post above with blurbs. |
You can pull the .svg logo from: https://www.nasa.gov/ @MSanKeys963 |
you can pull the dandi logo from here: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/dandi/artwork/master/pics/dandi-logo.svg Blurb: Zarr is currently used by DANDI for lightsheet microscopy and some ex vivo MRI datasets, and is being considered as a backend for Neurodata Without Borders (NWB) neurophysiology datasets. |
@NCAR and @carbonplan (my previous two gigs) are using Zarr. Pinging @andersy005, @katamartin, or @freeman-lab for some help with the CarbonPlan logos. NCAR's logos are here. |
I'm awaiting confirmation from HHMI / Janelia communication folks that we can add our logos to the pile |
I'm also waiting on approval from Google Research's branding folks.

Here is the basic CarbonPlan logo for rendering on light backgrounds: Blurb: Zarr is used by CarbonPlan as a storage format for analysis and visualization of climate data. |
Janelia logos can be found here: https://www.janelia.org/news/press-resources Blurb: "Zarr is used extensively within Janelia Research Campus for efficiently storing and accessing large imaging datasets" |
Hi again, everyone! 👋🏻 The adopters' page is live over here: https://zarr.dev/adopters/. Feedback and suggestions are welcome. I'll keep this issue open if anyone wants their logos added to the website. |
@shoyer, did you get approval from Google Research? |
I finally got approval to add Google Research! Blurb:

Hi Zarr Community! 👋🏻
We're planning to have a page on our website to showcase the groups using Zarr. These can be organisations, companies, research groups and labs, academic institutions and universities etc.
We're mainly thinking of adding a logo and a short blurb, but if you'd like to include more, please let us know, and we'll get that done.
Please send your logo and a short blurb which we can add to our webpage. You can add the content over here in your comments or send it over to me and CC Zarr Steering Council.
I'm mentioning a few adopters and POI that I'm aware of. Feel free to add/remove your names from the list below;
If I missed someone you know who is using Zarr and should be added to the webpage, please mention them in the comments below. Thanks!
