Since this was deprecated in numcodecs (zarr-developers/numcodecs#619), deprecate it here too.
I think it would be good to put this in 2.18.5, then remove the code in 2.19.0 to reduce the maintenance burden on
zarr-pythonv2. Any thoughts on that?
