This is an rails project, developed for the 'Ruby on rails' course in FMI

== Instalation

Make sure, that you have rails and ruby gems installed on the mashine you want to run the application:

 $ gem -v
 $ rails -v

If not - download and install rubygems from here: http://rubyforge.org/frs/?group_id=126

and then:

 $ sudo gem install rails

Checkout the application sourse:


 $ svn co http://svn2.xp-dev.com/svn/rr_forum/trunk forum
 $ cd forum

Install the needed gems

 $ sudo gem install sqlite3-ruby
 $ sudo gem install faker
 $ sudo gem install RedCloth
 $ sudo rake gems:install

Set up database

 $ rake db:migrate
 $ rake db:populate

Start the forum

 $ ./script/server -d

That's it.

Go to http://localhost:3000/ in your browser and try the RR Forum :)

== Running tests

If you wanr to run the tests, you need to install some more gems:

 $ cd $RR_FORUM_HOME # (cd to the forum home directory)

 $ sudo gem install rspec
 $ sudo gem install rspec-rails
 $ sudo gem install factory_girl
 $ sudo gem install webrat
 $ sudo gem install launchy

Set up the test database

 $ rake db:test:prepare

And finally - run the tests

 $ spec ./spec

== Gems

  rails
  sqlite3-ruby
  faker
  RedCloth

-- gems, needed for the test module

  rspec
  rspec-rails
  factory_girl
  webrat
  launchy
