About Jack The Cutter
When i was going to cut the first WEBM file, i couldn´t find a relevant tool. (To be honest, i didn´t spend too much effort in the search.) Extracting the OGG stream from the WEBM didn´t really change the situation. In a forum, a user suggested to use FFmpeg, while another user complained that FFmpeg has no GUI for that task.
I liked the idea to use an expert like FFmpeg to do the main work, and started to create a tool to provide the cut points :-)
What I missed about the tools I used so far was a second view to see both the complete wave form as well as the zoomed section at the same time.
This, and the possibility to set and see all cut points, and to name all section before extracting them were the key features which made me making this tool.
