⚠️💀 WARNING 💀⚠️: Please note that when using third-party plugins to enhance AutoGPT's functionality, it is important to review the plugin's code thoroughly. This is necessary because plugins, being able to execute any Python code, can potentially be used to perform malicious activities, such as stealing your API keys.

Old-style plugins no longer work with recent versions of AutoGPT. Plugins were replaced by Components that are easier to build and are better integrated with AutoGPT. See the Introduction to the Component-based agent architecture.

Plugin Users

We're working on third-party plugins integration using the new component architecture. Components can already fully replace any plugin, however it isn't yet possible to use external components easily.

Plugin Developers

Refer to Creating Components in docs for a guide on how to build components. Keep in mind that it isn't possible to distribute components as plugins yet.
