Describe the update
This fixes a bug in #2608 which is already merged. The fix is also in the carbon simulation bug fixes PR which is in the pipeline but I am bringing this in earlier to make integration tests pass. This is only applicable to the dev version of 14.5.1. There are no issues in official releases.
