Migrate from 1.0.0 to 2.x

If you're installing a fresh version of this integration, you can skip this page, as everything will function correctly right out of the box.

However, if you're upgrading from version 1.0.0 to version 2.x, please follow these steps to ensure a seamless upgrade.

Navigate to Home Assistant and go to Settings > Device & Services.
Locate and select the "Elmo/IESS Alarm" integration.
Click on the three dots, then choose "Delete" to remove the integration.
If installed manually (not via HACS), delete the folder named custom_components/elmo_iess_alarm in your HA configuration folder.
Install the updated integration in custom_components/econnect_metronet.
Restart Home Assistant.
Go back to Settings > Device & Services in Home Assistant and opt for "Add Integration".
Search and select "e-Connect/Metronet Alarm", then continue with its installation.

Upon migrating to the newer version, you might notice that your previous dashboards reference an outdated entity ID:

To finalize the migration, update all dashboards. You can find all sensors and sectors as binary_sensor.econnect_metronet_*.
