Sorry this took a while, I was on PTO, and am behind on reviews here.

I'm going to merge this, to say thanks, even though as @ehuss mentions, this may change soon. We can update it once that lands. Thank you!

Note to self: fix the "revert" once uniform paths land (in 1.32, hopefully).
