How to extract image fragments
Open the Image Editor of the Single Charter View and define your zone.
With the button Extract image selection you can extract a part of the image you have drawn a box around, and save it as seperate image in a collection. Below of the image a dialogue opens where you have to name your image and can add notes. You save the image by entering it into a collection on the right of the note field either by creating a new one (enter a new name for the collection) or by adding it to an existing one and press then save. The identification of an image is two parted a “type” and a “name”. This allows to group the image collections for example into alphabets of single hand or classify them typologically specifying a second dimension with the “name”.
When you add your extracted image to an existing collection you see thumbnails of the images of which the collection currently is constituted. You can move over these thumbnails to display it in the original size.
