Caution
Cutting, drilling, or sanding carbon fiber has to be done in a well ventilated space and wearing a respirator mask. Wetting the surface helps to minimize the airborne particles. Please research the safety recommendations regarding processing carbon fiber composites.
- Cut the extra pieces using a small handsaw, Dremel or Jigsaw.
- Use a file to round the holes in which the belt loops around, to avoid the possibility of the belt being cut by the sharp edge.
The most commonly available high temp epoxies are:
- Loctite Power Epoxy Universal (150C)
- J-B Weld High Heat (550F)
Links can be found on the BOM page
